Anise & Dill have teamed up with Vancouver artist Arleigh Wood to create these special edition masks featuring Arleigh's beautiful paintings. Each mask is a work of art!
$1 from each mask will be donated to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada (BCSC). Breast cancer affects all Canadians in so many ways. Arleigh herself is a breast cancer survivor. We want to support the research and tireless efforts of this hardworking society who are dramatically reducing the effects of breast cancer in Canadian women.
“Where seas and skies meet a hopeful sparks is born”
ArleighWood’s dreamlike, geometric landscape paintings contemplate how landscape is part of our inner self. Time spent in Iceland, watching pieces of floating glaciers crash into the water, affected her deeply, as if she was losing a piece of herself, and humanity. Her paintings honour the land, and are hopeful mediations on how to be a better earthling.
BIO: Arleigh Wood studied at Concordia University in Montreal and the University of Hertfordshire in St Albans UK, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours. Wood has participated extensively in national and international exhibitions. Her work is in private and corporate collections and has been featured in hotels and in various interior design magazines including Canadian House and Home. Wood’s work can be found at Art Interiors in Toronto and at Vancouver Art Gallery Rentals and Sales.
Wood lives by the sea in Vancouver, Canada. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, jumping into the ocean, training for triathlons and pretending she can dance to hip hop.
